GRADUATE RESEARCH ASSISTANTSHIP THIN FILM FABRICATION AND SURFACE CHARACTERIZATION

A graduate research assistantship is available for an M.S./Ph.D. student in the area of thin film growth using pulsed laser deposition and surface characterization with electron diffraction.  The research involves the use of femtosecond and picosecond lasers and ultrahigh vacuum systems.  Students with an M.S. or B.S. in physics, chemistry, material science or electrical engineering with an interest in pursuing a Ph.D. degree at Old Dominion University in this area of research should contact:
