The biomedical engineering research cluster is composed of faculty members who are interested in the multidisciplinary field of biomedical engineering.  Research interests include, but are not limited to biomechanics, bioelectrics, image processing, rehabilitation (physical, cognitive and speech) and biomaterials.  While the cluster is organized within the Frank Batten College of Engineering and Technology, our cluster members reside in the colleges of engineering and technology, sciences, education and health sciences.  One of the major goals of this cluster is to develop a strong research program in biomedical engineering by fostering multidisciplinary projects that will broaden our research capabilities in the biomedical area.  Our cluster members are also working toward the development of multidisciplinary courses at the undergraduate and graduate level as well as the development of a minor in biomedical engineering.
