The Design and Manufacturing Research Cluster is composed of faculty and staff members at Old Dominion University whose research interests span the lifecycle of manufactured systems including, design, sustainability, development, production, operation, replacement, and recycling. While this research cluster is organized within the Frank Batten College of Engineering and Technology, members of departments outside the College also participate in the Cluster. The objective of the Cluster is to foster multi-departmental proposal efforts that will broaden the research capabilities of Old Dominion University faculty and staff. This includes developing ideas for multi-disciplinary research topics and implementing appropriate research teams for proposal submission.
