Ph.D. Risk and Reliability Engineering, Vanderbilt University, 2007 Dr. Patrick T. Hester is an Assistant Professor of Engineering Managementand Systems Engineering at Old Dominion University. He received a Ph.D. inRisk and Reliability Engineering (2007) at Vanderbilt University and a B.S.in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (2001) from Webb Institute ofNaval Architecture. Prior to joining the faculty at Old Dominion University, he was a Graduate Student Researcher in the Security Systems Analysis Department at SandiaNational Laboratories, where he worked on developing a methodology forsafeguard resource allocation to defend critical infrastructures against amultiple adversary threat. Prior to that, he was a Project Engineer atNational Steel and Shipbuilding Company in charge of Modeling andSimulation experiments to test shipboard logistics and cargo load-outcapabilities. His research interests include multi-objective decision making under uncertainty, probabilistic and non-probabilistic uncertainty analysis, critical infrastructure protection, and decision making using modeling and simulation. | |
