Dominion Energy Program

Based on evaluation by the faculty in the Department of Engineering Technology and other academic departments, an academic agreement was developed between Old Dominion University and Dominion Energy (Dominion Virginia Power). The University will award the following academic credit to students who have successfully completed the Nuclear Control Room Operator Development Program or the Senior Reactor Operator Program of Dominion Energy. Degree-seeking students at Old Dominion can apply this academic credit toward a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology with a major in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Nuclear Technology Option.

In general, students in the nuclear power industry who have taken Nuclear Regulatory Commission approved Control Room and Reactor Operator Programs are eligible for this program and it is available to them through the TELETECHNET distance learning system.
