Dr. Edgal received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Lagos in Nigeria, a Masters degree and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Wisconsin. Dr. Edgal is currently an assistant professor of Electrical Engineering Technology in the department of Engineering Technology, Frank Batten College of Engineering and Technology, Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA. Dr. Edgal has had several years of experience teaching in the areas of Solid State & Semiconductor Electronics, Electromagnetics, and Microwave Electronics. He has also taught at the undergraduate level, in the areas of Electrical Circuits and Systems, Digital Electronics and Computer Systems. His current research interests include Micro and Nano Electron Devices and Fabrication, Condensed Matter and Electronic Materials, Non-destructive Testing by Microwave Techniques. Dr. Edgal has had industry experience in Semiconductor Fabrication, and Electrical Power Systems. Dr. Edgal has published several high scholarly papers in high profile peer reviewed journals primarily on condensed matter and electronic materials. He has also published several conference papers and technical reports in the same field. Dr. Edgal is currently active in providing a Nanotechnology upgrade of the Electrical Engineering Technology program, and developing the “Semiconductor Device and Materials Structuring and Manufacturing Technology” (SDMSMT) lab in the Engineering Technology department at ODU, through various grant proposals. | |
