This Page contains the 16 most asked questions about the International Institute of Women in Engineering (IIWE)
What does the IIWE do ? The IIWE encourages the full participation of women in the engineering profession.
Why? Remember that the users of technology are both men AND women so we obviously need both sexes involved in the development and delivery of technology/products and services. Also, new skills and competencies are in demand in today's world; women often have a different vision as well as competencies and technical skills. Women definitely need to be encouraged to go into engineering! The world needs more engineers and women can fill the gap... but that's not the only reason.
How ? We offer seminars for students, confirmed engineers, and industry. Participants learn about the challenges women face as engineers and prepare for the future.
