Samuel F. Kovacic is a Research Scientist with the National Centers for System of Systems Engineering (NCSOSE) at Old Dominion University. His primary research is in the philosophical constructs of worldviews and the study of management and engineering practice as it pertains to complex situations, system of systems, strategic management and organizational change. he retired from active duty with over 22 years service in the United States Air Force. During that time Sam has developed extensive experience in flight and combat operations, and the software/system engineering field working progressively challenging assignments with background in Operations, Command, Program Management, System and Software Engineering, Budgetary Oversight, Contractor Officer/Technical Representative, Communications, and Vulnerability Assessments.
Samuel is currently pursuing a Ph.D in Engineering Management and Systems Engineering from Old Dominion University. He holds an M.B.A in Aviation from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland.
