The goal of IIWE is to present the
challenges women face as international engineers and prepare them for the future. Their annual seminar works to achieve this goal by improving students' abilities to understand and assess international engineering practices, improving their communication skills, indicating how they can balance their professional and family lives, and opening students' view of the vast opportunities and challenges offered in the engineering field.

Early Advantage Program for Women

Sponsored by the Virginia Space Grant Consortium and administered by the Career Management Center, this summer program not only introduces an incoming freshman to the Batten College of Engineering and Technology and engineering as a career, but also could be a students first "paid job" in engineering.
